Mr. Hagood is the founder and former President of Healthcare Performance Partners (HPP), an international healthcare consulting firm. Prior to HPP, he served as Senior Vice President and Practice Leader of the Advisory Solutions Group for MedAssets, Inc., a national healthcare performance improvement company. Mr. Hagood is also founded international manufacturing engineering consulting company, The Access Group, and a multi-industry architectural design firm. Currently, he serves an adjunct MBA faculty member at Belmont University, where he also founded, and serves as Director, of the Lean Healthcare Certificate Program, as well as Union University. Mr. Hagood recently received the Shingo Prize for Research resulting from his book, "Lean Led Hospital Design: Creating the Efficient Hospital of the Future. Mr. Hagood is also a Six-Sigma Blackbelt and is completing his Doctorate degree in Health Services Administration at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
Mr. Rutledge is a Senior Advisor for Clayton Associates. He also serves on the FCA Advisory Board and is a Special Operating Partner of FCA V. Mr. Rutledge previously served as President of HCA's Central Group from 2005 to 2013. In this role, he was responsible for more than 60 of HCA’s hospitals in Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, Tennessee, Virginia, and the UK. Prior to this role, Mr. Rutledge served as President of HCA’s MidAmerica Division, which includes 14 hospitals in Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana, from January of 2001 through the end of 2005. He served in leadership capacities with HCA for more than 30 years, working in hospitals in New Orleans, LA, Rome, GA, and Nashville, TN. Mr. Rutledge was named President of Centennial Medical Center in 1993 and promoted to President of TriStar Health System in 1996.
Rodney VanPelt - Affiliate
Mr. VanPelt is a healthcare executive with more than 35 years of hospital administration experience, beginning his career at Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) in 1976. Mr. VanPelt retired in 2013 as CFO of HCA's South Atlantic Division in Charleston, South Carolina, which oversees seven hospitals. Prior to his CFO role, he served as CFO of HCA's Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, as well as CFO of Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas and as a division Vice President overseeing 26 psychiatric hospitals. Mr. VanPelt graduated from Florida State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business, majoring in Accounting and Finance. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Dan Miller, FACHE - Affiliate
Mr. Miller is a healthcare executive with over 35 years of experience in hospital and multi-facility leadership. He retired after 31 years with HCA in May 2012. His most recent role was President and CEO of HCA West Florida from 1998 - 2012, where he had operational and leadership responsibility for 17 hospitals, 18 surgery centers, and over 600 employed physicians. Mr. Miller graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has a Masters of Healthcare Administration from Medical College of Virginia. He is the former Chairman of the Florida Hospital Administration and has served on the Board of Directors for the Federation of American Hospitals (Florida Chapter), Tampa Bay Economic Partnership, as well as the American Heart Association.
Patrick A. Romano, Jr. LFACHE - Affiliate
Mr. Romano is a healthcare executive with over 35 years of leadership experience in both non-profit and for-profit hospitals. He retired in 2007 as CEO of Gateway Regional Health System, a non-profit company with a 63-bed hospital and clinic in Kentucky, after its merger with St. Joseph Health System, a part of Catholic Health Initiatives and Kentucky One. Following his retirement, Mr. Romano served in several Interim CEO and consulting engagements for non-profit and for-profit healthcare organizations. He graduated from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University and has a Masters of Hospital Administration. Mr. Romano is also a Life Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Mr. McPherson has over 30 years of healthcare experience focused in the pharmaceutical industry with American Hospital Supply (Critical Care Division) and biotechnology leader Genetech, Inc. He retired from Genetech in 2007 after 24 years, where he served in executive level roles in sales management, regional and national account coverage, distribution, as well as government affairs covering federal programs. Mr. McPherson has been involved in the planning and execution of more than 40 Biotech Product launches and has earned multiple leadership and performance awards. Mr. McPherson graduated from the University of Tennessee where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing.
