Stuart McWhorter

Mr. McWhorter is Co-Founder and President of Brentwood, TN-based Clayton Associates. Founded in 1996, Clayton Associates serves as an investment management company primarily focused on venture capital in the healthcare services industry. Clayton Associates, through it’s investment manager, FCA Venture Partners, has managed four venture capital funds which have invested over $125 million in over 100 operating companies in the Southeast.

Prior to Clayton Associates, Mr. McWhorter was a founding member of OrthoLink Physicians Corporation where he served as Vice President of Managed Care and later as Vice President of Acquisitions. OrthoLink was later acquired by United Surgical Partners (Nasdaq:USPI)

Prior to OrthoLink/United Surgical Partners, Mr. McWhorter served in various operating roles with Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama, a Tenet-owned hospital system.

Mr. McWhorter is currently Chairman and CEO of privately held Medical Reimbursements of America, Chairman for privately held Censis Technologies, a member of the Board of Haven Behavioral Healthcare, and a member of the Board of FirstBank of Tennessee, a $2 billion community bank based in Lexington, Tennessee.

Mr. McWhorter´s civic duties include serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Belmont University, member of The McWhorter Foundation Board of Directors, The Nashville Alliance for Public Education Board of Directors, The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee Board of Directors, and Nashville´s Agenda Steering Committee.

Mr. McWhorter received his Masters in Health Administration from The University of Alabama-Birmingham and B.S. in Management from Clemson University.
