Chuck Lauer Joins MedAssets' Senior Advisory BoardAtlanta, GA MedAssets, Inc. announced today that Charles S. Lauer, former publisher of Modern Healthcare, has joined MedAssets’ Senior Advisory Board effective immediately. In this role, Mr. Lauer will join other industry leaders in providing MedAssets with insight into marketplace issues and needs and guidance in the development of innovative solutions. Mr. Lauer was the publisher of Modern Healthcare for more than 25 years, taking it from a monthly money-losing proposition when Crain Communications purchased the magazine in 1976 to the nation’s leading healthcare news weekly. He retired from this position on January 31 of this year. Known throughout the healthcare industry and beyond as a leader, he formerly was corporate vice president of Crain Communications and Editorial and Publishing Director of Modern Healthcare.
