As the Managing Partner, Mr. McWhorter has directed investments made by Clayton Associates in FCA III and FCA II, and advised on co-investments made by Clayton Associates with FCA I. Prior to founding Clayton Associates, Mr. McWhorter was Founder and Vice President of Acquisitions for OrthoLink Physicians Corp., a physician services and surgery center management company.

Mr. McWhorter currently serves on the Board of Directors of Censis Technologies, Inc., HCCA International, Alveolus, Inc., Attentus Healthcare Company, SpineMedica, Inc., Discovery Life Sciences, L.P., Tenvera, Inc., Dara, Inc. and Haven Behavioral Healthcare Inc., each of which is a company in the Clayton Associates Portfolio.

Mr. McWhorter serves as the Chairman of the Strategic Advisory Board of FCA III and FCA IV. Mr. McWhorter is the former President and Chief Operating Officer of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HealthTrust, Inc., the former Chairman of Columbia/HCA, Inc., and the former Chairman of LifeTrust America, LLC.

Mr. King focuses on identifying private equity investments and their respective due diligence processes. He is a member of the General Partner of FCA III and FCA IV, serving on the investment committees. Prior to joining Clayton Associates, Mr. King served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of My Office Products, Inc. Mr. King previously served as a Vice President of Third National Bank and its successor, SunTrust Bank, in Nashville, Tennessee from 1983 to 1989. Mr. King acquired Radar Business Systems in 1990, which was subsequently purchased by U.S. Office Products, Inc. in 1996, and served as the Regional Vice President for the successor company until 1998.

Mr. King currently serves on the Board of Directors of Intechra Holding Corporation, My Office Products, Inc., The Thalerus Group, Inc., and Tenvera, Inc., each of which is a company in the Clayton Associates portfolio.
