Mr. Bovender is a 40-year veteran of the healthcare industry. Beginning his hospital administrative career in the United States Navy, he ultimately joined HCA in 1985. During his time at HCA, Mr. Bovender served as the Chief Operating Officer. In 2001, he was named President and CEO and served as Chairman and CEO from 2002-2009. Mr. Bovender was lauded by Institutional Investor magazine as "Best CEO in America" for healthcare facilities in 2003, 2004 and 2005. He is a founding member of the Nashville Health Care Council and has served on the Board of Directors for several human service and arts organizations, including Duke Universities’ Board of Trustees.
John R. Ingram
Mr. Ingram is the Chairman of Ingram Industries, Inc. Board of Directors. He was appointed in 2008, having served as Vice Chairman of the Board since 1999. Mr. Ingram also serves as Chairman of Ingram Content Group, which includes Ingram Book Company, Lightning Source, Inc. and Ingram Digital. Mr. Ingram is a graduate of Princeton University, where he received his bachelor of arts degree in English. He also has a master of business administration from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
Lawrence H. Kloess, III, FACHE
Mr. Kloess serves on the FCA Advisory Board and is a Special Operating Partner of FCA V. Mr. Kloess is a healthcare executive with 38 years of leadership experience in hospital and physician group management. He retired from Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) in December, 2011, after 28 years of senior leadership responsibility, most recently serving as President of HCA’s TriStar Division from 2005-2011, with operational responsibility for 20 hospitals and 10 ambulatory surgery centers throughout Tennessee, Georgia, and Kentucky.
Mr. Fitzgerald serves on the FCA Advisory Board and is a Special Operating Partner of FCA V. Mr. Fitzgerald is the founder and former President and CEO of HealthTrust Purchasing Group where he oversaw its initial formation in 1999, its financial and operational functions and managed the contracting for clinical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and capital equipment, totaling approximately $20 billion annually. Mr. Fitzgerald has over 30 years of healthcare operations and leadership experience. Prior to founding HealthTrust, he served as President of HCA's Supply Chain Services, as well as several other leadership roles within HCA. Mr. Fitzgerald is a member of the Federation of American Hospitals and serves on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Minority Supplier Development Council.
